Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the 2nd book of J. K Rowling’s legendary series. It starts as all the books do, at the Dursley’s home in Little Whinging. They’ve become extra strict since Harry came home from Hogwarts, and Harry finds himself locked in his room indefinitely after an incident with Dobby the house-elf at an important meeting of Uncle Vernon’s. But it isn’t long before the Weasley boys come and break him out, flying him to their home, the Burrow. Harry is welcomed by the Weasleys and becomes a part of the family quickly, but little does he know, one of them has a secret, one that could destroy it all. I loved this book. I love the whole series, but none of the others have this same sort of sinister feeling behind it. It’s the first wake up call that this is real for Harry, that he and those he cares about are actually at risk here. There’s a new clarity to this 2nd installment. And another thing - I just love the Weasleys. The first time I read the series, I sort of missed them, but after reading again for the first time in a while, I have a whole new appreciation for this family that took Harry in as their own, no question, and took care of him like he had known them for years. Molly Weasley, Fred, and George are counted among my favourite fictional characters of all time. Like the first, I recommend this to anyone. This is one of those series I have a deep love for, and I want to expose others to such a wonderful work of literature. - @freckleface675 of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
