The comedy chronicles the life and times of Phil Miller as he 'struggles' to survive, hitting on lady mannequins, filling margarita pools, and literally making new friends out of sporting goods. Hilarity ensures when the straight-laced Carol Pilbasian shows up and throws off the ridiculous lifestyle Phil has worked so hard to create.

A hilarious, and honest, take on the end of the world! Will Forte and Kristen Schaal are the ideal match--when they are the only man and woman left on the planet, that is. Forte's Phil is frustrating, oddly charming, and completely believable. I originally watched this show with my brother, and he admitted he would behave in similar ways if he didn't have society to check his weirdness. Schaal's Carol Pilbasian (THAT NAME!) is even better--a rule-following, bedazzler-loving, spaghetti-and-raisin-balls-making, punn-having gem of a character. I cackled throughout this entire season, and purchased a Hulu subscription just to watch the second season. That's how good this show is!
