Good movie! I recommend it! It shows life of the Ethiopian Jews in Israel! This movie is about one Immigrant family trying to navigate in the Israeli society, and the inter-generational misunderstandings and expectations! The Elders (the parents) place importance to follow the old traditions, but at times, these need to be renegotiated and updated! Many immigrant families, old and young, would be able to relate! The parents are doing their best to give their children a better future! The Parents are often able to only get menial jobs, no matter how well-educated or how important they were in their home country! The Children have the ambition to do well, to get ahead, but they hit the wall within the Israeli education system that has different expectations and rules for the Ethiopian Jews than for the Israeli Jews! And that's one of the important reasons why the Ethiopian youth gets frustrated and into trouble with the police! Wonderful Drama! Has a love story, family life, and a tragedy!
