This book was deliciously BAD. I wanted some light summer reading, nothing that would lure me away from the many activities that we can enjoy when the thermometer peeks above 70, and this book totally fit the bill. It had at least 50 meticulous descriptions of characters' outfits, including accessories, the hallmark of really bad writing -- and almost as many detailed descriptions of meals. This author should be writing the sort of pap that appears in "women's" magazines. The plot plodded predictably along until the last chapter, which really was exciting. I would've loved to have read a book that BEGAN with that chapter. Still, if you want a light read that you can breeze through and not care about abandoning -- well, even then, you're better off with Danielle Steel or Jackie Collins. But, I've read worse books, and I really did enjoy the final chapter, so I'm giving it a star.

I am a huge Jennifer Weiner fan - have read all of her books. This book, however was a big disappointment! It was boring and uneventful. I really hope her next book is good and that she is not on a downward trend!

Did not enjoy this book at all. I am finding that her books are very boring. Was even to the point where I didn't think I would finish it, but I did. The ending was better than I expected, but still, not in a hurry to read anymore of her books.

I enjoyed this book, but not quite as much as some others. The love story was interesting and watching the main character grow and become more confident in doing what she knew was right.

Jennifer Weiner is one of my favourite authors but this wasn't as good as the others. I usually don't want her book to end but this one I had a hard time getting through.

Strong characters and an interesting story about overcoming adversity, compromise and ingenuity.

Not the best book I've read lately. The story line was slow moving and I found myself skipping a lot of the dialog. The last two or three chapters were the best but otherwise, not a "can't put down book." The only reason I couldn't put it down was because I was trying to get to the "good" part!
