An engaging example of the Thurlos' ability to combine passion with tension as they introduce readers to Josephine Buck and other employees at a New Mexico trading post. Suspecting that Jo had an affair with his father, Ben is determined to get control of the trading post. As Jo and Ben move toward a deeper understanding of each other, they learn that Tom Stuart was murdered and that the trading post at the centre of their lives holds many secrets.

The Thurlo's have written many excellent mysteries set in the American Southwest, on or near Native American lands. A Time of Change is a stand-alone story that could well be the first book in a new series. I would enjoy reading more about Josephine and her co-workers, friends and relatives.
Good job!
