I didn't really like this book because it was far too predictable

I am completely in love with the idea of the book, I like the type of book thats in a book it makes it fun and a little more unusual.

I thought I was gonna be weird at first but then at the end and it was amazing I loved it

I thought the best part of the book was Ms Parker's theory. I wasn't too fond of how Amy was in love with Alexander and then they live happily ever after either but I'm at least there isn't a sad ending. My least favorite character in the book was Chrissy. She's disrespectful,self-centered and obnoxious.

At first, I didn't like the idea of this book. I'm not one for romantic-vampire books but this book surprised me, the book wasn't all that bad. The plot changes made sense and I understood everything, although Mrs. Parker's theory was a little far-fetched. I also found that Amy as a character was a little cliche and I found her sister unbelievably stupid.

nothing like it

For me, this book is so-so. Not amazing but not terrible either. Maybe it's just cause I'm not that into romance and vampires but I loved the action component of it.

i liked this book but it didn't stand out to me as one of the best red maple books. It was about hot vampires so i'm sure a lot of girls who are into that stuff loved it but i'm not into that stuff so it didn't effect me with such a strong force. Through out the book, you come to love Alexander and i liked that component of the book, but the story line was a little typical and predictable. I liked that it was a book within a book, and it's a dream come true for me if one of my favorite books was reality. I'd like to believe Ms. Parker's theory on alternate dimensions, but it's so hard to believe there are real Shadow hunters out there or Hogwarts.... I'm like Amy in a way that i'm more attracted to Alexander than to James because he had more substance and is so interesting to talk to, and James is just sweet. I'd read the sequel if there is one because they leave a bit of a cliffhanger with how Hannah must take over in the Otherworld Chicago.

Amy who is on her way from a party gets attacked by a man (Vigo) and gets saved by another stranger (Alexander Banks). After Alexander Banks tries to kill Vigo, Alexander finally tries to explain that he is THE Alexander Banks who is from Chicago. After proving it to Amy she brings him home and her stays there while trying to understand how he has gotten to another dimension.
All the while Alexander learns how live in our world and continues to search for Vigo and reads the mysterious books that are apparently about him. He ends up falling in love with Amy who jeopardises Amy's sister Chrissy gets reeled in to a guy on facebook and goes out on a date with him where he takes her to his hiding spot where Vigo threatens to kill her, his only conditions to not harm her were if Alexander were to surrender and let Vigo tie him up and kill him slowly.
