You will hate this if you expect a typical action-packed, plot-driven entertainment. If you are open to other ways of telling stories and art that is more character-focused than narrative-focused, you should find a lot to love. Not a lot…

"Forgive them lord for they know not what a good movie looks like." Wendy and Lucy is a brilliant sketch about a young woman (played as if in real-life by an excellent Michelle Williams) who is waylaid on her quest to find work in Alaska…

Unfortunately this movie about the boring life of a homeless lost kid is so poorly written and paced that the movie itself is even more boring and slow.

As with her previous film "Old Joy", Reichardt manages to capture the perspective of a socially marginalized outsider with a degree of authenticity and sympathy few -if any- other filmmakers can match. Riechardt's highly realistic…

This isn't a highly polished, fast-paced Hollywood film and that is part of its charm. We are all on a journey and there are journeys within journeys. This film explores a moment in time, a small part of a person's journey of…

Boring waste of time.

Kelly Reichardt’s pessimistic look at one young woman’s disenchantment with the American Dream is suffused with so much angst and disappointment that at times it is almost unbearable to watch—even the otherwise beautiful scenery is tainted…

A great story about the bond between Wendy and her dog Lucy. Now if you have never been a dog owner, maybe this movie won't be for you, Michelle Williams plays a homeless girl trying to get to Alaska from her home in Oregon. She is so…

This is an very good, independent film about how much, or more likely, how little, Americans will help one another. The last scene of Wendy alone captures the alienation and loneliness of America to-day.

Good enough road story, Lucy is the dog. Too short. Very good acting from Lucy.

Didn't like it. This movie is terrible - plain and simple - and how TIFF had the temerity to choose it as its Best Movie 2008 - and give Michelle Williams Best Actress (I'm not kidding - that's what it says on the dvd cover!) is beyond…

If you don't mind a very slow-moving movie, you will enjoy this character study of Wendy, down on her luck, and her relationship with her dog Lucy. Michelle Williams does a great job playing Wendy.

Skip It - Wendy and Lucy (2008) 80 min. I was really disappointed with this film. The film is void of any real emotion until the very end. There's very little in terms of film score and therefore relies solely on the events in the film to…
